2Wire Ranked on 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 / 500 List of the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in North America and Silicon Valley

Named #7 in Silicon Valley, #51 in North America - Attributes its 433% revenue growth to unique business model

San Jose, California - October 26, 2005 - 2Wire today announced that it is ranked on the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 / 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America and the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Silicon Valley region. 2Wire was named #51 on the Fast 500 and #7 on the Fast 50. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2000-2004. 2Wire grew 433% during this period.

2Wire’s President and CEO, Brian Hinman, attributes the company’s rapid revenue growth to its unique business model, which focuses exclusively on supporting the needs of telecom broadband service providers.

"This commitment was made early on in 2Wire’s development," said Hinman. "Some industry watchers considered it to be a high-risk decision, as it ruled out other distribution channels such as broadband cable operators and retail sales. But by focusing exclusively on telecom carriers, we were able to establish an intimate understanding of the industry’s needs, and partner with the carriers to develop long-term solutions. This led to extremely strong relationships with our customer base, which allowed us to survive and even flourish during the economic downturn, when other telecom and high tech vendors were suffering."

The telecom industry embraced the company’s proposition, and 2Wire’s customers now consist of the world’s major DSL broadband service providers, including telcos in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications
The Fast 500 list is complied from Deloitte’s 15 regional North American Fast 50 lists, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 2000 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively, and 2004 operating revenues of at least $1 million USD or CD.

Entrants must be headquartered in North America and must be a 'technology company', defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies’ technology in a unique way does not qualify.
